Well...we were just chillin watching tv last night and a MOUSE comes running out from our kitchen and runs behind the tv, I then freak out. Andrew just looked at me and said, "what do you want ME to do about it?" and I said "KILL IT!!" but the little guy ran back into the kitchen and Andrew couldn't find him. As Andrew left for school this morning I reminded him to kill the mouse.
Today I came home from school and he had set up stickey mouse pads all over the house. Tonight the critter appeared again, and we got him...But my heart sank when I saw the little mouse struggling to get off of the pad. So Andrew being the best husband in the world instead of killing it with a hammer or leaving it on Deidre and Jacobs door step we took it to the field behind our house and a gloved Andrew set him free. It was fun to have a pet for a second, I guess until we get a dog mice will have to do.
We don't have a camera so these cartoon pictures will have to do. He went from sinister mouse, to cute tender don't want to kill mouse.
AAHH! I don't know that I would have been able to sleep that night! But I can relate to letting teh little furry creature go, As you know I would have been very upset to see the little thing die...afterall, what did he ever do to deserve such a cruel death!
ReplyDeleteYou've got too much heart! At least...I would like to think that if I were in that situation I would have just killed it so it didn't crawl into someone else's home...but in all honesty-I probably would have ended up feeling just as guilty as you did!
ReplyDeletehahahahahaha - oh i love it. that's freakin' awesome.
ReplyDeleteso tender too. why didn't you keep him? name him? let him sit on your shoulder?
Welcome to my life before we moved. LOL Aric ran over the mice with the car after it got stuck to the trap. They were usually so stuck that we would have ripped of there feet getting them out.
