For Thanksgiving we couldn't head north to see the family because of dreaded Black Friday at Best Buy. I am a fan of all holidays, and I always want them to be special, and memorable. I didn't want us to just sit on the couch and watch football all day in our pajamas...like every other day :) On Wednesday night I spent over an hour at the grocery store, 3 hours cooking, and 2 hours on my hands and knees scrubbing our kitchen floor, and cleaned the house. I was so proud of myself though, I made a turkey, home made stuffing, yummy beans, a salad, mashed potatoes, and 2 pumpkin pies (with home made whipping cream)! That's right...I made it all, and Andrew ate it all!! A success!! I made Andrew document it to prove that I cooked something. We missed family, but it was a fun day. It was a day that I know I will never forget, because I treasure all of the moments I can being a "newlywed" with it just being Andrew and I. Life is good.
you're amazing. i like the huntz ketchup sittig in the middle of the beautiful dinner table. i didn't know it was good with turkey, stuffing, potatoes, OR salad and beans.
ReplyDeleteinteresting.
you are a domestic goddess - SO much fun.
Good job!! I am so impressed. I have yet to cook a meal like that for my husband. Andrew is one lucky guy!
